By the time you read this, I will be on my way to China, en route WLG-AKL-HKG-CAN-TAO-SZX-HKG-CHC-WLG. Nine airports in seven days – does that make me a potential Amazing Race qualifier? I have been hard at work localising some of the training material for our Chinese audience, and I’ll be delivering the training in Mandarin Chinese to my fellow countrymen and women.

I missed the New Zealand vs South Africa Rugby game in the weekend. To be frank, under most circumstances it wouldn’t have been a bad game to have missed but I had been talking it up so much with the ex-pat South African manager of the lodge I’m staying at in Zambia that turning up right on the full-time whistle was more than a little embarrassing. However the funniest part of the whole debacle...

What have I become?? Decidedly non-geeky as I am, I have surprised myself recently by hearing the words “I think CRM is great; I would like to learn how to configure it myself...” leave my mouth.

Over the last year, we’ve spent a lot of time building demos for Microsoft, which, while stressful, is really rather good fun. We have been involved in applications that have been on stage at some of Microsoft’s largest conferences, including PDC and SharePoint Conference. This time we have built a CRM demo for TechEd North 2010 in New Orleans.
