Well, there are several reasons:
- It is the biggest show in town (to my knowledge), incredibly well run and a great way to see how other organisations are running their exhibits and events
- We have a growing number of customers that attend and exhibit at the Field Days
- Innovation and technology is at the forefront of New Zealand’s success to date in the rural sector
- And as Intergen is heavily involved in the agriculture sector in New Zealand this is a great way to see and hear directly from those involved in the sector
This year Bruce Smith (Intergen’s General Manager Sales) and I attended on Friday 17th. Key to our day was visiting the large and growing number of Intergen customers at the Field Days. A key example of this was the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry showing off the new Farms OnLine solution. Intergen developed this solution for MAF with help from several other organisations and it was great to see it being shown off to its target audience. We don’t always get to see that and it continues to reinforce Intergen’s BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal). Interest in Farms OnLine was high, with queues forming at regular times during the day. To top it off MAF won the best indoor stand prize. Well done to the MAF team.

In addition to MAF there were several other Intergen customers at the field days including:

It was great to see so many Intergen customers as well as a buoyant rural sector. An added bonus this year was minimal rain so the boots didn’t get muddy.
