We are seeking an experienced high-energy Wellington-based HR Generalist to join our results-oriented People & Performance team, focused on supporting our Intergen business across NZ. Collaborating strongly with your Talent Acquisition and Learning & Development colleagues, you will be comfortable working as part of a close-knit but geographically dispersed HR team and will report to the global P&P Advisory Lead, also based in Wellington.
 
You will support the implementation of our People and Performance strategy for Intergen NZ with particular focus on providing high impact HR advisory services to business managers and their team members. Joining a team that has a well established reputation for excellence in all aspects of HR, you will also:
  • Contribute globally but execute locally on a suite of initiatives designed to progress our aspiration to be a Completely Compelling Organisation for our people including policy and program reviews and projects
  • Oversee and deliver local employee lifecycle processes and programs including performance coaching, development planning, remuneration review, employee relations, recognition, on-boarding, and payroll / data reporting.
  • Support and/or lead cross-team initiatives representing the needs of the local business globally and vice versa.
  • Help drive the success of our global HRIS implementation project through the contribution of employee relations, employment law, HS&E and other areas of subject matter expertise.

The Experience:
Ideally you will have worked a similar position before and possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Demonstrated experience as a HR generalist with consulting and advisory experience
  • Solid business acumen and a track record of delivering value-add impact in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated, autonomous team player with pro-active initiative and drive
  • A high work and customer service ethic with excellent relationship building skills
  • Strong operational management and a continuous improvement mindset
