Senior Database Administrator, Modern Workplace

Intergen seeks a Senior Database Administrator to join our Modern Workplace, Cloud Applications Team!

The Role
As a key member of our Cloud Applications team in Wellington you’ll work with colleagues and on your own client engagements, providing support and technical advice. You will help design, install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL server solutions. You’ll love this role if you’re someone who not only focuses on production but who always looks for where they can add value for both Empired and our client’s businesses.

The Person
This role would suit someone with the following skills and experience:
  • Knowledge of SQL 2005 through to 2016 and beyond
  • Strong in administration of SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
  • ITIL methodologies exposure
  • Experience around Always on Availability Groups and physical clusters
  • Able to work with developers, application support staff and software vendors and management.
  • Good performance troubleshooting skills
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Ability to open up and examine SSIS packages
  • Exposure in supporting large environments
  • Demonstrated exposure to PowerBI
  • Wintel server and Azure cloud support capabilities highly regarded
