Richard Westlake (MA Oxford) has been appointed an independent director of New Zealand-based information technology solutions provider, Intergen

As the first independent director on the Intergen board, Richard joins Intergen’s four incumbent company directors: Paddy Payne, Wayne Forgesson, Chris Auld, and managing director, Tony Stewart.

“Intergen is excited about the appointment of Richard to the board. The appointment signifies Intergen’s growing maturity as a company and our commitment to effective and robust governance,” Stewart says.

With more than 15 years’ experience as a director and board chairman, Richard is an Accredited Fellow of the Institute of Directors and a Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management. He is also an active member on a number of boards, including Chair of the Standards Council of New Zealand and Better Border Biosecurity, and is a foundation director of Kiwibank Limited.

As director of Wellington-based Westlake Consulting Limited, Richard works with boards and CEOs in the private and public sectors, with particular expertise in NGOs, other not-for-profit organisations and Crown-owned entities.

With 200+ staff across New Zealand and Australia, Intergen provides information technology solutions around the world based exclusively on Microsoft’s tools and technologies. Key offerings include portals, content and collaboration solutions, financial and relationship management, custom software development, management consulting and hosting services.
