Intergen a finalist in Best Technology Solution for the Public Sector Award in this year’s Hi-Tech Awards

23 May 2016

Wellington, New Zealand – May 23, 2016 – IT services firm Intergen named finalist QualIT Best Technology Solution for the Public Sector award in this year’s Hi-Tech Awards.

The annual Hi-Tech Awards rewards the success of New Zealand’s growing technology sector, recognising successful technology companies and highest achieving individuals. New Zealand’s technology industry includes companies across the electronics, software, telecommunications and biotechnology sectors, employing more than 40,000 people.

Intergen’s entry was based on its Cohesion Enterprise Content Management as a Service, one of the three solutions chosen for the All-of-Government ECM panel, focusing in particular on the implementation of Cohesion at Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), working closely with technology change consultants, allfields.

Launched in 2014, Cohesion is Intergen’s Microsoft-based enterprise content management service developed for government and delivered through a shared platform across multiple agencies, enabling government agencies to transform organisational communication, collaboration and compliance. The Cohesion platform enables new ways of working and helping government agencies achieve their goal of helping to deliver better public services to New Zealand.

Intergen CEO Simon Bright says: “We are very pleased to have achieved finalist status in this year’s awards. It is a real honour to be able to play a role in genuine business transformation within the public sector. Being named a finalist is tremendous validation of the significance of Cohesion to New Zealand’s government agencies, particularly in helping to enable better information management and bring significant productivity gains and cost efficiencies.

“Cohesion’s success is as much about people and commitment to change management as it is about the technology platform itself; and to that end I would like to thank and congratulate MPI and allfields for playing such an integral part in Cohesion’s success.

“Cohesion currently has 4500 public sector users, with that number set to rise to 7000 in coming months, and is quickly being picked up by New Zealand’s leading government agencies with a vision for change.”

Part of the Empired Group, an ASX listed company employing more than 900 people across Australasia, Intergen is one of the largest and longest-serving dedicated providers of Microsoft-based solutions in New Zealand. It has received Microsoft Partner awards in eight of the past nine years, and has been overall Partner of the Year four times.”

Open source web provider Silverstripe won the award, with Critchlow and WaterOutlook also named finalists in the Public Sector category.

Award winners were announced at a black tie event in Auckland on May 20, 2016.
