Intergen Strengthens New Zealand Leadership Team

Wellington, 14 July 2014 - Intergen, New Zealand’s largest dedicated Microsoft services provider, has made three significant appointments to its New Zealand executive team to support growth plans.

Simon Bright, Chief Executive Officer, Intergen New Zealand

Simon Bright, formerly Group Chief Operating Officer of Intergen, has been promoted to lead its New Zealand business, charged with further enhancing the company’s longstanding reputation for successful delivery. 

With over twenty years in IT services and consulting, Simon combines expertise in strategy development and leadership with technical skills in Enterprise Resource Management.

Simon joined Intergen in 2009 from Hewlett Packard where he led the Microsoft Services division business in New Zealand. Prior to this he was a Director with CGNZ Middle Market Solutions, a leading provider of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX and CRM solutions, and was also a Partner at Ernst & Young.

Emma BarretEmma Barrett, Director Solutions and Services, New Zealand

Emma Barrett, who joined Intergen in 2004, has been promoted to Director of Solutions and Services, ensuring clients’ current and future technology needs are met.

Emma has over sixteen years in the IT industry in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Her knowledge of Intergen and experience of all stages of the solution delivery lifecycle across a range of industries will be leveraged to lead the delivery, implementation and support of solutions and services to New Zealand-based clients.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Information Systems), and Postgraduate Diploma (Finance) from the University of Otago.

John BesseyJohn Bessey, Director Client Development, New Zealand

John Bessey joins Intergen responsible for helping clients to benefit from its Microsoft expertise, with overall accountability for the development and management of sales across New Zealand. He brings strong sales and business management skills to Intergen, gained with global technology brands and leading New Zealand ICT companies. John’s Microsoft experience includes Managing Director of its Philippines business from 2009 to 2012, where he was responsible for the general management of sales, and prior to that as Director, Small Medium and Partners, Microsoft New Zealand. John has also held senior roles at Gen-I and IBM New Zealand.

He holds a BA in Political Science from Auckland University and a Postgraduate Diploma from the Auckland University Business School.
