Intergen to be part of exciting new Wellington inner-city development

7 December 2015

Wellington, New Zealand — December 7, 2015 — Intergen’s Wellington offices are to move to the planned Community House redevelopment, located at 80 Willis Street. The 85-year old building first opened as the press hall for The Evening Post.

The development will comprise a food and beverage courtyard open to the public, with Levels 2, 3 and 4 of the building to be occupied by Intergen. Intergen’s 200-strong Wellington team will move into its new premises in late 2016, with the new complex opening to the public in early 2017.

The adjacent street-front building at 78 Willis Street will be removed to form a laneway, to be called Willis Lane, enabling pedestrian access to the courtyard’s bars and cafés.

Intergen’s Chief Executive Officer, Simon Bright says:

“Intergen is very excited to be a part of this great new Wellington property project and is proud to play a role in bringing Press Hall back to life.

“The new development will provide a modern and dynamic business and social hub in the heart of Wellington’s CBD, close to the city’s creative, educational and commercial quarters as well as its civic spaces and amenities, and we are pleased to play a role in bringing this to life.

“We are looking forward to the next chapter in Intergen’s development and growth, and we believe the new Press Hall will be the perfect new home to our more than 200 Wellington ‘Intergenites’. We feel strongly that the dynamic, contemporary, activity-based environment, with its unique blend of work and recreational spaces, is very much in keeping with Intergen’s hallmarks of creativity and innovation.”
