Intergen part of all-of-government ECMS panel

22 November 2013

Intergen today announced its common capability ‘as-a-service’ initiative providing enterprise content management services (ECMS) to government agencies.

Intergen named by the Department of Internal Affairs as one of three on the all-of-government panel of ECMS providers.

Intergen’s ECMS as-a-service offering, Cohesion, has been designed to help New Zealand government agencies meet many of their information and records management needs, providing a secure, easy to use, enterprise grade service, accessible from almost anywhere.

Based on Microsoft technologies and available on a per user, per month subscription basis, Cohesion not only provides a user-centric and collaboration focused service, but also applies rigorous document and record management patterns and practices, helping to fulfil a number of public sector information management requirements. Cohesion’s catalogue options comprise core and extension components, allowing government agencies to configure the ECMS package to best fit the needs of their organisation.  Cohesion is a tool which, when combined with policies, processes and behaviours, will help agencies comply with the Public Records Act 2005.

Intergen’s Chief Executive Officer Tony Stewart says: “We are delighted to have been selected to the panel and are excited about the opportunities our service offers. Intergen’s Cohesion ECMS service represents a significant step change and paradigm shift in the delivery of enterprise content management solutions, and we’re very excited to be bringing this offering to New Zealand government agencies.

“In terms of what sets it apart as an enterprise content management service, Cohesion takes a step towards the future in its user enablement while fulfilling the business requirements expected of an ECMS. The focus on individual, team and community use creates a rich user experience while compliance and records management processes are handled in the background. The burden of data organisation and classification is borne by the service instead of the user.”

Paul Muckleston, Microsoft New Zealand’s Managing Director says: “Microsoft is extremely pleased to see Intergen named to the Common Capability Framework ECMS panel, and to see Microsoft technologies underpinning the next generation of ECMS services within the public sector. As the current holder of the Microsoft Asia Pacific Public Sector Partner of the Year award, and a strong and valued Microsoft partner with a proven track record within the public sector, Intergen has the experience and acumen to support government agencies in their ECMS requirements as part of this exciting new initiative.”
