Key features in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015

With the release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2015 only a matter of weeks away, what key features can we expect to see?

With the goal of surpassing the 100,000 customer mark this year, and a further goal of doubling this in another five years, Microsoft has confirmed its commitment to Dynamics NAV well into the future. At Directions 2014, which is currently underway in San Diego, Microsoft went on to advise that NAV 2015 will be released to new customers on 1 October and existing customers on 6 October.

Since its first reveal at WPC 2014 earlier this year we've been teased with details of new features we can expect to see in this new release. A few to look out for include:

  • Enhanced integration with Office365
  • Tablet clients available from the Apple App Store, Google Play, and Windows Store (have a look, you'll find them there already!)
  • Integration to Microsoft Social Listening (http://www.microsoft.com/dynamics/en-us/microsoft-social-listening/)
  • Document reporting using Microsoft Word templates
  • Simplified UX through Auto-fill of No. fields, highlighting of mandatory fields, removal of unlicensed elements and enhanced cues
  • Improved upgrade tools

These new features support the "Three Pillars of NAV2015" which are:

  • Quick to Implement,
  • Easy to Use, and
  • Power to Support

Having been lucky enough to have had a look at NAV 2015 I can confirm there is still plenty to be revealed over the next few days and weeks, so stay tuned!
