Quick Dynamics NAV 2016 overview

Dynamics NAV 2016 offers greater cloud capability, enhanced Microsoft integration and greater access for remote users.

Microsoft are releasing their latest version of Dynamics NAV early October, just in time for Intergen’s Dynamics Day event.

Continuing on with Microsoft’s cloud strategy we will see greater focus on cloud with an enhanced Azure experience and also the ability to utilise SQL Azure.

Integration with other Microsoft products is a continuing trend with an enhanced experience with Office 365, Power BI and Dynamics CRM online. This means organisations looking to implement Business analysis have a powerful low cost option with Power BI.  Integration with Dynamics CRM will allow organisations to improve their sales processes, or introduce a more formal customer care or perhaps market better to their customers.

Microsoft have put a lot of focus on client options for users by adding a phone client and also significantly improving the web client.

In terms of new functionality we will finally see workflow introduced to Dynamics NAV which will allow us to further automate processes. Simple additions also include posting preview and document deferrals.

Finally as part of Microsoft’s commitment to making upgrades easier they will be releasing a test automation suite which will allow partners to decrease testing time.
