Twilight Recap – Marketing and Sales using CRM and Click Dimensions

Steven Foster, Intergen’s Product Manager for CRM presented his Twilight seminar on how organisations can better understand and target prospective customers by using ClickDimensions and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Marketing and Sales using CRM and ClickDimensions 

 

ClickDimensions is an email marketing and web analytics add-on for Microsoft Dynamics CRM. It provides email marketing, web tracking, form capture and surveys, to help answer the underlying question: Are we getting a return on investment (ROI) from our marketing activities? If you have ever pondered on the questions below, then this is an application to check out.

 

Marketing and Sales woes

 

As Steven says “[ClickDimensions] helps organisations better identify who is interested in their products or services, their level of interest and how to take action. It tracks right down to the web pages your customers and potential customers are visiting, whether they open your email, to what events they have attended. With this information tied into your CRM system you really know what is happening - it’s simple and straight to the point.”

Monitoring how effective marketing activities are is a business ‘must have’ these days, especially to ensure ROI. Using alternative web tracking applications such as Google Analytics is popular but what makes CRM and ClickDimensions better is that it gives you a more holistic insight around each customer or prospective customer, right down to tracking their online activity via your email, survey, website and or social media channels.

Steven Foster used our Twilight seminar as an example, showing the information that was gleaned when sending out invitations to the Twilight through CRM and ClickDimensions.

“We sent out the ‘Marketing and Sales using CRM and ClickDimensions’ Twilight invitation using ClickDimensions. From generating our invitation list, constructing our email to delivery statistics we used Dynamics CRM and ClickDimensions together to manage the marketing and registration process. We can find out how successful our “campaign” was: How many people opened the email? Who registered? And did anyone visit our website after receiving the invitation – and what pages did they visit? We also promote our Twilight seminars via Twitter, EventFinder, LinkedIn and Facebook – ClickDimensions can track traffic via these links to see whether this gains any registrations.”

Steven also showed us other capabilities within ClickDimensions, such as building surveys and monitoring social networks, making it a one stop marketing discovery shop.
