Enterprise Content Management and Records Management made easy with SharePoint and RecordPoint

Wow! What a great response! Last week we hosted a couple of seminars in Auckland and Wellington with speakers from Microsoft (Steve Letford and Jonathan Stuckey), RecordPoint (Anthony Woodward and Elon Aizenstros from Sydney), RIM (Michele Marsburg) and me from Intergen. Also there was James Fox of OnePaceMail.

The main purpose of the seminars was to demonstrate that the combination of SharePoint and RecordPoint + OnePlaceMail provides a perfect content and records management solution for all New Zealand organisations – whether your focus is on improving performance through better management of information or to enable Public Records Act compliance.

Based on the big response, questions and feedback, it is clear that this topic is very relevant to people.

Earlier this year we formulated a solution/services offering to address this growing interest, especially in the public sector where the Archives NZ audits have started. We knew the need was there – our clients have been asking – but we have still been impressed by the response. The cherry on the top was to be selected recently by the Transport Accident Investigation Commission to deliver their EDRMS requirements.

Having the right partners was vital to ensure a robust offering that would be competitive with established players. Partnering with RecordPoint was the key. With VERS compliance, RecordPoint provides the immediate credibility in records management. And built 100% on SharePoint means that records management happens as a by-product of daily document activities – non-invasive meta tagging of content leading to high user adoption – the holy grail of records management.

Of course, the solution is only half the need. Making it real and operational in the client’s environment is vital. And this is where Intergen delivers.

The positive feedback from the seminars confirms for us that we have the right approach and solution set. When you are ready to find out more, give us a call.
