Intergen embraces Windows Azure at PDC

While the country is absorbed celebrating the success of the All Whites, New Zealand’s national football team, another important event for the Microsoft industry is about to kick off.

Intergen is once again present at Microsoft’s Professional Developer’s Conference (PDC) in Los Angeles, with Chris Auld presenting at this annual developer-focused event.

This year’s event will be notable for the release of Windows Azure, Microsoft’s cloud services platform, as well as the anticipated availability of the beta of Office 2010; inevitably, there will be other announcements during the three day event.

Chris’ session is entitled ‘Architecting and Developing for Windows Azure’ and is the culmination of a busy year for the Intergen director, who has really spearheaded the awareness and education of Windows Azure across the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition to presenting on Windows Azure, Chris has also been working with local company – TicketDirect – to enable them to take advantage of Azure and, in particular, the scalability of the service. Chris will post more about PDC later this week, but in the meantime you can read Computerworld’s report  to find out more.
