Microsoft releases Internet Explorer 8

Microsoft has released the final version of Internet Explorer 8 at its MIX conference in Las Vegas.

Indications are that this browser is definitely a great step forward for Microsoft, building on the momentum of IE7 and adding several new features to differentiate itself from other browsers in the market. Rather than repeat the feature list here, have a look at Microsoft’s IE site.

As we’ve mentioned previously, IE8 works differently than previous versions of IE, and has adopted more web standards than before; this could cause challenges for some sites and applications.
