The Data & AI Operations Team is growing rapidly at Empired.  We are looking for dedicated person to be a key member of this team, providing support and enhancement services to data solutions built using the Microsoft Data stack.
This is a support role that is divided between maintaining and developing key internal data solutions, and supporting client platforms, all built in the Microsoft Azure Data Stack and Power BI.
As a Data Consultant in the Operations Team, you are a primary point of contact providing tier one support to clients. You are responsible for providing operational/functional support, resolution of level two incidents and requests, monitoring and ensuring service level agreement (SLA) compliance and providing Data Integration expertise to ensure that we achieve our goal of being "easy to do business with.”
Success in this role looks like:
  • Receive and handle requests for level two & three support following agreed procedures.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to efficiently resolve Azure Data and reporting related issues.
  • Implement, configure, and ensure delivery of solutions based around Azure Data services.
  • Implement, configure, and ensure delivery of solutions based around Microsoft Analytics solutions such as Power BI.
  • Maintain knowledge of specific technical specialisations, provide detailed technical advice to customers.
  • Maintain accurate records and advise relevant persons of actions taken.
  • Investigate problems in relevant systems and services.
  • Assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • Carry out agreed operational procedures of a routine nature. Contribute to maintenance, installation and problem resolution.
  • Automate tasks and processes to innovate and improve.
  • Contribute to the implementation of maintenance and installation work.
  • Build relationships with our clients to analyse and define business requirements.
  • Achieve or exceed SLA targets for our clients.
  • Ensure hours worked are recorded in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Identify operational problems and contribute to their resolution
The career experiences we recruit for:
  • 2+ years of experience in and good understanding of supporting Data & Reporting solutions
  • Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with the Cloud (specifically Azure) would be beneficial
  • Some experience in managing code repositories and DevOps pipelines.
  • Strong technical disposition for monitoring, observability, and performance management
  • Instincts for identifying, documenting and mitigating risks
  • Attention to detail and a fervent belief in a Duty of Care to our clients
  • Strong knowledge share and commitment to professional documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communications; able to communicate with a wide range of people and to gather requirements.
