Practice Lead - Modern Work, Security & Azure

The Role 
As the Practice Lead for Azure and Security you will be a key member of the Modern Work leadership team responsible for the successful delivery of professional services to our NZ-based clients. This role requires strong technical acumen, the ability to build high performing teams, collaborate nationally, build client trust and confidence and deliver world-leading solutions to some of the largest organisations in New Zealand. Responsibilities 

• Oversee the delivery and quality of our Azure and Security solutions to clients, working closely with the Practice Director in Wellington, local and remote delivery teams, PMO and Client Development. 
• Ensure successful project presales, initiation, management, and delivery on time, scope and budget. 
• Ensure technical quality across the portfolio. Advise team members as the technical expert across projects, ensuring the solution is of superior quality. 
• Take ownership and provide solution leadership to the team 
• Build strong relationships with our clients as a trusted adviser and delivery executives. 
• Participate in regular client and internal governance forums to ensure on-track delivery of services. Contribute to the creation and review of client contracts. 
• Contribute to presales activities in conjunction with the Client Development team. 
• Oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the Azure and Security team ensuring excellence in areas such as resource management, utilisation, and process improvement to ensure delivery services and profitability are in-line with targets. 
• Coach, mentor and grow the team ensuring high levels of engagement and retention. 
• Help drive and be a champion of our collaborative and fun culture within the local Wellington team. 
• Contribute to the overall practice strategy and vision alongside the Wellington Practice Director. 

Your Experience 

• 3+ years' experience in a similar or Architecture or Principal role. 
• Experience working with complex Microsoft Azure & Security solutions including infrastructure architecture, implementation and migration to Cloud including:  
• Azure identity solutions.  
• Azure network solutions - Azure VPN, NSG and EXPRESSROUTE. 
• Azure DR and backup solutions. 
• Azure and M365 Security tools including – Sentinel, MIP, Defender for Cloud and Defender for Cloud Apps.  
• Azure Migrate Appliance, including initial workload assessments and associated architecture of Azure services to meet requirements.  
• Experience from pre-sales to final delivery; ensuring that each solution is appropriately scoped, designed, implemented, and tested to meet our client's business needs 
• Confidence working directly with internal stakeholders, clients and partners. 
• A hunger for knowledge with the passion to learn about the latest innovations in the industry, which you will enjoy sharing with the wider team 
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present and point of view to a variety of audiences
