Senior Consultant - UI Design

It’s been 2 years since we launched our Human Centred Design approach and we’ve had great success with our clients in the service, public sector and commercial industries. This success has lead us to looking to grow quite quickly in 2021 and that’s why we’re looking for great people like you.

We are looking for:

• You have solid, demonstrated experience as a Digital UI Designer within an agency / consultancy or similar
• You are interested and have experience in Human Centred Design thinking and user research methods
• You like to stay up to date in how leading digital products implement new UI elements, principles or techniques
• You love design
• Enjoy variety in the work you do, you could be designing websites, platforms one day and setting photography and colour direction the next
• You love creative thinking and problem solving
• You are confident in story-telling and your presentation skills
• You are an excellent communicator
• You’re a team player

  
From day one, we need you to be experienced in:
  

• Development of innovative creative concepts and solutions in digital environments and customer-centric touchpoints
• Creation and development of digital assets across a broad spectrum of channels 
• An innate sense of – and strong opinion about – great creative when it comes to the web and digital
• Designing Desktop, Web and Mobile digital products
• Understand and know how to implement accessibility best practice and WCAG 2.0 standards
• Delivering design systems at scale
• Identifying design problems in digital products and propose elegant solutions
• Highly proficient in design tools like Figma, Sketch, Zeplin and InVision
• You see yourself as the gate-keeper of design while product is being built – so that it aligns with the creative vision
• Experienced in presenting, and able to talk through design concepts to stakeholders (potentially remotely, using tools like InVision, Miro).
• Expertly present design concepts & recommendations, to both team members and clients, that are considerate of the project timeline & scope
• Support and assist in pre-sales activities, including educating clients on why design is critical to delivering successful products and experiences
• Work with the wider team to lead and define our UI design process and offering within the practice and across the whole of Empired

  
Should you be interested and have experience in these things, it will be even better:

• Interest and previous experience in brand and art direction
• Interest to learn more about and participate in UX/HCD activities (such as research, user testing and workshops)
• Utilising behavioural analytics, customer research findings and digital analytics to drive UI design
• Working with Agile delivery teams, and understand the role of the designer in ensuring high quality digital products
